September 8, 2021 Dear Oland Ian, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Sep 07, 2021 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Financial Aid for my Single Mom with Covid and Pneumonia. Response to your request Please be informed that our Corporation do not have the resources and/or program to address your predicament. As much as we wanted to assist you, we are legally prohibited to use any funds entrusted to us for purposes other than what is indicated in our Articles of Incorporation and By-Laws and doing otherwise, would result to an audit finding from the Commission on Audit and may even result for criminal indictment for malversation or other criminal acts. Please know that we sympathize with you and we are with you in this hard and pressing time. We recommend that you approach the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), Office of The President for Special Concerns (OP-SC), or Office of the Vice-President (OVP) for your request for medical assistance. We also recommend that you explore the possibility of seeking relief from the Employees Compensation Commission (ECC), Social Security System (SSS), in case your mother is from the private sector, or the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), for possible availment of any benefit or COVID-19 relief, in case the same is classified as compensable illness or work-related injury. You may also approach your Local Government Unit (LGU) for assistance. While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information or program to address your predicament. However, you may wish to contact PCSO, OP-SC, OVP, SSS, ECC, or GSIS at their respective websites and/or email, or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Ryan Carlos T.
