Dear Ms. Sta. Teresa,

Greetings from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL)!

This letter is in connection with your requested information on the statistics on
counterfeit goods seizures in the Philippines (2005-2021) and magnitude of counterfeiting in the Philippines (2005-2021).

As requested and verified from the concerned Bureau, please find in Annex A the
requested information on seizure statistics from 2005-2021. You may also access the full information in this link in our website: https://www.ipophil.gov.ph/ncipr-statistics/ However, please be aware that this information is based on reports that the IPOPHL has received from other law enforcement agencies, such as the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine National Police, and the like.
On the information on magnitude of counterfeiting, we have provided our analysis as to the impact on two main factors: economic and socio-cultural. This analysis is based on our observation as an office doing enforcement work and coordination for the past years. Please see Annex B for the analysis.
