We are fourth year engineering students of Mariano Marcos State University and we are conducting our thesis project titled “ASSESSMENT OF COASTAL DEFENSE STRUCTURE DEFORMATION: A COMPREHENSIVE STUDY ON DAMAGE SCORE EVALUATION OF
REINFORCED CONCRETE SEAWALLS IN ILOCOS NORTE AND
VULNERABILITY PREDICTION TO DIFFERENT WAVE
CONDITIONS VIA SOLIDWORKS SIMULATION
”.
Our research aims to calculate the wave height for different return periods along the Ilocos Norte coast. To achieve this, may we request historical data at the PAGASA Agrometeorological Station specifically the list of typhoons that have passed through Ilocos Norte, including their rainfall intensity, time, center coordinates, wind speed and direction, and pressure.
These data will be used to analyze the wave conditions in Ilocos Norte Philippines. This will be used as the initial data set for the said study and for our thesis.
Thank you for considering our request. Your support is integral to the success of our research, and we look forward to contributing valuable insights to the field.
