Good day!
The DENR Forest Management Bureau is currently crafting a policy related to the installation and use of Watershed Monitoring Instruments, such as Automated Weather Stations (AWS), Automated Water Level Stations (AWLS), and CTD Groundwater Sensors. In connection with this, we would like to seek your advice on the lifespan of these instruments, as your agency also employs them for Weather Monitoring Stations. This estimate or average lifespan of the said instruments will be used to specify in our draft policy their mandatory replacement and to ensure appropriate funding.

Good day!
This message is in response to the requested forms that need to be filled out. To clarify, the data being requested pertains to the estimated or average number of years our weather monitoring stations remain serviceable. We would like to incorporate a mandatory replacement clause in our draft policy to ensure that our agency can allocate a budget for this purpose. If there is no available data, any suggestions regarding when to replace weather monitoring stations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
