December 20, 2023 Dear Public Citizen, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Nov 27, 2023 02:37:18 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Generation of Agricultural Waste. Response to your request We regret to inform you that our office does not have the detailed data on waste management of all crop commodities, corn and banana included. These are usually incorporated in the project documents of our crops research division, if the focused research is on waste management. If not, then you can find some review of literature of projects and studies in the internet. We have very limited PCAARRD-supported projects on waste management; only 17 projects since 2018 to date. I browsed through the list and none for corn waste and banana wastes. Mostly are on sugarcane wastes, swine and poultry wastes, wood and bamboo wastes, and rice straw wastes for composting. We hope you can find other sources of information from other agencies for your theses. For further assistance you may review the FAQ section of the eFOI site: https://www.foi.gov.ph/help. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to pcaarrd@pcaarrd.dost.gov.ph. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request. If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011). We'd also appreciate your feedback thru this link: bit.ly/DOSTPCAARRD_FOICSF Thank you. Respectfully, Dr. Reynaldo Ebora FOI Officer
