Greetings!

Thank you for your request dated Oct 16, 2023 08:11:13 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.

Your Request

You asked for Latest Information about the Artificial Groundwater Recharge Project in Baguio City.

Response to Request

The project was able to accomplish the following: 
Establishment of strong partnerships with relevant national agencies and local government units, i.e. CLGU Baguio, and MLGU La Trinidad, Benguet, DOST-PNRI, NWRB; Primary and secondary data gathering, i.e. well/drill logs, static water level (SWL), hydrogeology and hydrostratigraphy of the project localities; and Actual drilling activities in Baguio and La Trinidad, Benguet. 

However, the more crucial part of the project, which includes the actual injection of meteoric water into the aquifers and the monitoring of the effectiveness of the recharge process, is set to happen this year until May 2024. 

If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).

We would also like to request for a little bit of your time to kindly fill up the survey form containing some questions about our performance in handling your request.
