Dear Mr. Danny Abrina,

This refers to your request for land use data of Narra and Quezon, Palawan from 2005 to present.

Through coordination last 22 November 2019, you were informed that the available data are the 2003, 2010 and 2015 Land Cover data and you signified your interest of availing the digital copy of the 2010 and 2015 datasets. 

Relative thereto, we are pleased to provide the land cover data of the said areas in shapefile format, projected in Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) Zone 50 with Philippine Reference System (PRS) 1992 horizontal datum. Attached are the following datasets:

1. 2010 Land Cover data generated from ALOS/AVNIR2 (10m resolution), SPOT 5 (10m resolution) and Landsat 7 (30m resolution) taken in 2009 – 2012 with ground validation

2. 2015 Land Cover data generated from Landsat 8 (30m resolution) taken in 2015 with ground validation. 

The boundary used to generate the extent of the data is approximate, with 200-meter buffer in the absence of the official administrative boundaries from the Land Management Bureau.
