The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (PIDS) is a nonstock, nonprofit government corporation created on September 26, 1977 by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 1201. It was established in response to the demand for policy research that can aid national development planning and policy formulation in the executive and legislative branches of government. PIDS operates from Monday to Thursday, 7AM to 8PM.
